Saturday Scribes Writing Prompt: August 8th

Um, it’s just me – Mr. Darcy. I’m setting things up for this week. I can tell you I was really tempted to use either nasty, brutish and short as the three word prompt OR use the dictionary dot com word of the day for the last three days – but the dictionary dot come words were much more nasty, brutish and longer than any we have done so far – so I decided it was not a good idea.

So, instead I reached into my scalp and plucked out what you see below. And remember kids – do try this at home – then post your link here for others to enjoy.

Theme: Serenity

Also, newbies can learn more about Saturday Scribes here (including how to do a permalink to your post) and read the prompt guidelines here.

Here’s my bit. I’ve never used the word fuselage in my entire life! Here’s the link.

Geez I found these prompts hard this week. Maybe I should have chosen the dictionary dot com ones instead . . .

Tempting though it was to do a story about Mal and Kaylee and a “potato lipstick fuselage” (which sounds like a new product blending culinary arts, high fashion and aviation, or some such thing), I resisted the urge and came up with this instead (much shorter than last week’s offering).

This wasn’t what I wanted to write. I had 2 different stories all planned out, then medication made me really groggy and I couldn’t get my head around either. Eventually, this sort of tumbled out.

As advertised, here is the 2nd half of the last Saturday Scribes Prompt:

The prompt this week has suggested to me a story that may take a little time to write. Hopefully before next Saturday.
